This video gives the parable of the 5 foolish virgins and the 5 wise virgins, and what it is meant by salvation and sanctification. Salvation is the process of walking towards Christ, and sanctification is the process of walking with Christ. Salvation happens when you believe, and sanctification happens when you act on that belief. We are called to be sanctified and that process will happen for the rest of our lives.
Today I was looking at a milk cartoon and it said “passionate about purity”. Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God”. The Bible also says,
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. – Phillipians 4:8
God is passionate about purity, but it is not the outward purity that matters the most, but it is the purity of the heart and the mind because Jesus said “first wash the inside of the bowl, then the outside” But it is important that people don’t commit sins that are indicated in the Bible, because God is a holy God. When the sewage system takes the local water source and it recycles the water that was once impure and it gets the toxins out of it. Then to further the purification process it probably should go through a more purified process so that it may be drinkable. The best tasting water is one that has been purified the most and it is probably the most expensive.
Jesus has made us pure through His blood, but we must be on guard with our minds and be alert to taking every thought Captive unto the Obedience of Christ. I once heard someone say that if you have a negative thought, just ignore it, but that is not healthy. Even a qualified psychologist will tell you that once you recognize a destructive thought, you recognize, remove, replace and repeat. Some Christians say that is not good to include psychology into the Christian walk, but the Bible does teach on what you are to think about, and some psychological principles tell you the how to think upon them, and the Bible does as well, so there is no harm in using psychological principles to train your main to develop the seeds of God’s Word and let it be made available to you when you need. These are the last days, and when the times are getting more and more difficult, and more and more wicked with each generation we must be careful to keep our minds undefiled from the world and we must know who we are in Christ, so when we are faced with lies we can replace them with what the Word of God says about our lives.
We know that “His thoughts are higher than our thoughts,” and “His ways are higher than our ways”. So we must pursue having thoughts that glorify Christ, and live out our lives to glorify Christ. Of course all of us each of one of us is imperfect, and must not be under the presumption that we are perfect people, and the we must measure up to a perfect standard, because none of us can become perfect, which is why we have been given the Holy Spirit, to make us perfect and to transform us more and more into the image of Christ.
I used to have a friend who was a bad influence on me in school, and I care for her and still do hoping that she’ll come into salvation, but she would tell me to “put my mind in the gutter”. Putting your mind in the gutter is the last thing you want to do, because you are exposing yourself to darkness, but thank God through His salvation, He brought me out of darkness and into light.
So if you have thoughts like “I want to commit suicide”, then remove that thought and say “I will live and not die and declare the works of the Lord.” Or if you are guilty then say, “There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus, for those who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Or if you are anxious, then say, “Do not let your heart be troubled.” Blessed is the man whose mind is steadied upon God. But we live in a fallen world with so many distractions, which are hard to avoid. So we must discipline ourselves, to capture every thought, and imagination, and cast it out, before it becomes foothold and a stronghold, and then overtakes us. So we cannot just accept these thoughts. These thoughts are a sign that there is something not right within our soul, and for our soul to operate properly it has to line up with the Spirit of God and to do God’s will and plan and purpose for our lives.
When you become closer to God, He starts revealing to you all the things and issues in your heart that you need to deal with, and let Him purify you of. You must be willing to let go of these things in your life. These can be things like jealousy, unforgiveness, anger, worry, and you must allow the Word of God, letting the peace of God which surpasses all understanding guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. This is repentance. During this time it is important, that you remove all the idols from your life and anything that is keeping you from seeking Him in your life. That may mean that we may have to stop watching television preachers, and listening to other people who can only bring us down. The dangerous part about listening to certain television preachers, while they may be highly anointed men and women of God, and have a successful ministry, but they may not help you at the level that you are at, and help take you to the level you will want to be. This time you have to learn how to depend on God more, and to trust God more. Sometimes we get so discouraged that we listen to people that are “ear pleasers”, when sometimes what the Word of God says is harsh, even though Jesus Himself is not harsh, but His Word is stronger than a two edged Sword, even dividing to the soul and Spirit. With patience, and in His timing He will make all things known to you, through the Holy Spirit. Pray that the Holy Spirit reveal things to you in the Holy Spirit.
We all have toxins in our heart and our minds from before we were saved, and we must continue to guard our hearts and our minds, and to continue to walk in love and continue to keep our minds focused on Jesus and to preach the Gospel. During the refining process I encourage you to read the Word of God as much as you are able and to fully trust the Word of God, and what it says without reading to much into it, and trust it above your own heart sometimes, because your own heart (the one before you got saved) was deceitfully wicked, but now your heart is pure as long as you continue to pursue God and have your mind stayed on Him and remove all kinds of distractions away from your life. Believe me if you have not gone through some time of extreme difficulty, you will as a Christian, it is inevitable, but during those times, He gives us the grace that we need to handle life day by day. Remember to keep your hearts pure.
The word pure in the Greek is “Katharos”
It has signficant meanings:
2) in a similitude, like a vine cleansed by pruning and so fitted to bear fruit
1) free from corrupt desire, from sin and guilt
2) free from every admixture of what is false, sincere genuine
3) blameless, innocent
4) unstained with the guilt of anything
Blue Letter Bible. “Dictionary and Word Search for katharos (Strong’s 2513)“. Blue Letter Bible. 1996-2012. 18 May 2012. < http:// www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?
– When the vine becomes pure it has to go through a pruning process, and it can hurt sometimes.
Purity and the vine which becomes pure:
It is free corrupt desire, from sin and guilt – there is real guilt, when you know what you have done goes against God’s Word, and then there’s false guilt which results in condemnaiton.
It is free from any admixture, or mingling, or twisting Scripture, and also from any lies, or deceit, or anything that is not genuine.
It is blameless, and innocent – You know when you are innocent of something. Some things you know you just did not do. Anything you do not know, Jesus, the High Priest, after the order of Melchizedek, has paid the price for.
It is also unstained with sin and guilt. Notice it didn’t just say, “guilt”, it said “sin” and “guilt” so if the only sin was not believing, then most Christians would have nothing to feel guilty about because we all believe, but if we turn away from sin, by realizing that we are not condemned from that sin, but that we no longer identify with that sin, and that we are now new people, and we don’t need to hold on to that sin any longer. It’s ok when we fall sometimes because God will help us get right back up, but we have to choose not to get stuck in this destructive path for our souls, and choose to live a righteous life, even though we know that we are already righteous people, and in the same manner we need to choose to live pure lives, even though we have a blood bought right to purity.
God is Passionate about purity of our hearts and minds which when renewed can live out the purity in the flesh and cause you not to sin.
Repentance is a very sensitive issue in the body of Christ, and there is a way in which the message of the Gospel of Christ should be spread as not to harm the people. We know we are to speak messages of repentance, which leads to sanctification, but the purpose of dying to yourself is not supposed to taken literally. God loves you. He created you and He knit you together in your mother’s womb. For born again believers who are all at various stages of growth and some of them have reached a certain level of maturity and been through things where they can go and teach these kind of things, but you have to as one preacher said speak the truth in love. You can speak the truth which is the Word of God, but you can be so harsh that it becomes unhealthy for the person, and they may be so desperate for God when they listen to you, and to see miracles happen in their life, and to have that implication that God doesn’t love them, and that God didn’t come to bring life and life more abundantly and that crush and wound the spirit so much. There is a distinction between godly sorrow and sorrow of the world, but in the Church this line is getting thinner because people are getting so harsh, and yes there are people that need to change their lives, but when they are going through difficult times as we are going through now, we need messages of hope. Millions of people are committing suicide everyday and some of them might even be Pastors, and yes some of them can’t live with their sin, and it’s so sad because God wants people to love, appreciate, and enjoy their life to their full. Godly sorrow does not mean you hate your self, and you want your self to die, but there is a distinction between the flesh, soul, and spirit that needs to be drawn. When you have these difficulties arising in times of crisis, and yes we do need to point out the laws for doing what’s right, but the greater Law is the Law of Love, and how much you love others. Jesus said love God, and love your neighbors as you love yourself, so loving yourself is out of balance. You might love God with all your heart, but if you don’t love yourself, then you can’t love your neighbor, so teaching people that the self is evil is very dangerous. There is a method in preaching which involves understanding the makeup of a human mind, which will be transformed into God’s will, purpose and action, in a way that there is a sense of hope, encouragement, faith, and boldness, in knowing that godliness brings life to a person, and does not destroy the person, because the thief comes, to steal, kill, and destroy.
Now God may be testing your faith in some trials and obstacles, but when you need words of encouragement in the Body of Christ, you are sometimes bombarded with teachings about repentance, that don’t come to realize, that is a very slow process, and does not happen in an instant, and it is a life long process, that God takes one day at a time. When you seek out God’s Word, first, and there will be obstacles, believe me, in trying to study God’s Word, but if all you can do is chew on God’s Word, and meditate on it, ruminate on it, and best of all don’t let people try to talk you out of this three part love cord, that you want not to be broken. You want to see the best in people and it makes it hard when people you trust are crushing blow you down in the soul. God is a restorer of the mind, and He binds up what has been broken, and he heals what has been hurt, but when people preach about this strict self denial it can defeat the purpose of God. Paul said in Ephesians 6 that we are supposed to have the Gospel of peace,
Ephesians 6:15 talks about the Gospel of peace –
which is the word eirene in Greek and here is the meaning for it:
5) of Christianity, the tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and content with its earthly lot, of whatsoever sort that is
Blue Letter Bible. “Dictionary and Word Search for eirēnē (Strong’s 1515)“. Blue Letter Bible. 1996-2012. 8 May 2012. < http:// www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?
People are going through a lot of stress these days, and need to learn that God loves them, and when calling people to repenting for their sins, it is wise to speak the words very carefully and to analyze your audience. If you have a television ministry, and you know many people are watching, you can cater the message in a way with your speech seasoned with salt, and if your salt loses its savor, then what can it be savored with?
Colossians 4:6 says –
Blue Letter Bible. “Dictionary and Word Search for ‘”seasoned” AND “with” AND “salt”‘ in the KJV”. Blue Letter Bible. 1996-2012. 8 May 2012. < http:// www.blueletterbible.org/search/translationResults.cfm?
So when teaching about repentance, I urge Pastors out there not to be so hard on them that it breaks their spirit, because with a worried, anxious, stressed, and depressed soul, which comes from the enemy trying to use people, even anointed pastors and teachers, and preachers of the Word of God it can become unhealthy and defeat the purpose of God. Bring restoration and not condemnation.
For those people that are living in sin, won’t get convicted anyway because they don’t realize what they have done wrong, and those people who are born again, will go into a downward spiral when you begin to speak words of death into their lives that make them devalue who God created them to be. We are sons of the King and we need to be treated as such, and not as worthless sinners, who are good for nothing. We need to be treated with respect, and courtesy and kindness, and when you know there are times when you will be tested on what you might say to someone whether you are a minister who is leading people or whether you are a person who is being served under a minister or leader, restrain your mouth from speaking evil, and when you have spoken evil, God will forgive you and turn it around for good, but just as with wounds of the soul, they take time to heal, but the enemy’s plan is to keep you constantly down and defeated and discouraged so that you cannot see the light, and that’s the last thing you want. So bring hope and treat all of God’s people as sons of the King. When you have a grievance with someone then forgive them, and if it still bothers you then seek counsel and support from others because the Church, the Body of Christ, is a Body where we are all growing and learning how to seek the Lord and to nurture and grow in health, and the last thing we want to see is someone so crushed and vexed in their soul, because of abuse. But hey, if God can work through Joyce Meyer and Paula White, who went through abuse and hardship in their lives, then God has surely found a way out for you, and teach you from your own life experiences and the way He has finally created you to be the shining example of who you are in the Body of Christ. Also you need to keep in mind that for people who haven’t learn to dig their own well, or in speaking terms, study the Bible for themselves, then the best thing you can do is use wisdom on how to feed them, and have more Word and less you, that is how to really bring more of Christ in your life. You don’t need to explain it to them, they understand, now if you are exhorting someone the body of Christ in general, with a correction, then realize that some babies or immature Christians can’t eat steak. It is wise to measure the consistency of the food you are feeding to the people at a time. You want to give them enough to chew on and meditate on for the day, and when they have come to spiritual growth, then you will be able to bring in more meat as God allows, but even that must be seasoned with salt.
There are so many different ways to interpret the Bible these days, and we often wonder why. That’s because we don’t understand who God is. We have to begin by knowing the names of God, and then we can learn about the attributes of God.
I’ve touched before on the names of God. You can search for my posting. But there is something deeper to really get to understand what God is about.
6 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
The whole earth is full of His glory!”
This was Isaiah speaking in the future because He had a vision where He had been taken up. I read somewhere I believe it in the Bible that every time God turned around the angels would cry “Holy” at the new sight of God.
Irregardless, the WORD of GOD is still mutlifaceted meaning that Jesus has many sides to His character and personality. He wants You to get to know Him, and the same is true with the Heavenly Father, which is why He sent His Son into the world to send the Holy Spirit into the world to convict of sin, righteousness, and judgment.
One of the ways that really needs to get ingrained into the Body of Christ is that we cannot mold God into our image, He has to mold us into His image. We need to become more and more like Him.
One of the main causes of division in the Body of Christ was this divisions on how to understand God, and why He did all those things that He did in the Old Testament, and why He brings Judgment and Wrath upon the people. Yes it is good to know Him as Abba Father, and as Jesus knows Him, but even your own earthly father, if you really unconditionally love him, you will want to love all parts of his personality, even the ones you don’t like because your father means a lot to you. The Heavenly Father is the same way.
In Exodus 34:12 it says that (for you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God). With the foundation of Jesus as the Savior, you cannot properly understand the fullness of God unless you understand that He is Jealous. Interestingly enough, the word used here is “Lord” and that means Jesus, and Jesus is the bridegroom, and He is Jealous for His bride like a husband is jealous for his wife. If someone came and harmed His wife, He would take vengeance on her. The Church is the Bride of Christ, and Israel is the Bride of the Father. Everything God has done is for you, so that you would love Him with your whole heart and not love anything else above him. He will destroy whatever hurts His bride, and He will protect His bride as well because He loves her. God is very passionate and His love for you is so that you can love him in return.
I want to point out a scene – in the movie Bruce Almighty – again, where Jim Carrey who plays a man who has gotten the powers of God for a week says, “How can I get someone to love me with affecting free-will?” Morgan Freeman, who plays God says, “If you find that one out let me know.”
Also Backstreet Boys have a song, Quit Playing Games with My Heart, and one of the lines is “Everything I’ve done is for you so what is it that you can’t see?” That’s the way God feels. He feels like sometimes we play games with His heart, and we trample over His heart and we abuse His heart because we don’t live the way He wants us to. We don’t accept Him for who He really is. He is a whole person and the Word of God is the complete picture of who He is and every part of it is about His love for you and what he will do to people that don’t love Him completely.
If worldly people can capture this sense of passionate love, how come Christians can’t find the same thing about God? Yes He is Grace, but He is also Justice. If He is not justice, then who will bring justice to the earth? What hope do we have then? Yes His justice may not seem fair at times, but He can see things more clearly and from a better perspective than we can.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehendit.- John 1:1-4
This Word, was and is Jesus and here the word used is “logos” meaning Christ Himself, and the Bible is the only way we can discover who He is. All Truth about Him is revealed through His Word and when we come to the realization that the Word of God and His attributes are mutually exclusive meaning that they cannot be separated.
We want Him to love us unconditionally, but do we love Him unconditionally, whatever He says in His Word, do we appreciate it?
So to get back to the point of the message I want to bring out – He has done everything on this earth for you, and just for you. Just like a tree wants all it’s fruit, leaves, and branches, to be nourished, God wants you, and He desires you to protect You and to take You and embrace You like a hen is with her chicks under her wings.
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. – 2 Timothy 3:16
In this Scripture in 2 Timothy it says that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and that means not only the New Testament, and not just the Old Testament only. Each part of Scripture is there so that you may be (saying that you not already are, when you accept Christ) complete.
There is a process in which you become complete. Here is 2 Timothy 3:16 in the Amplified: 16Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action).
To know God’s will we go to John 17:
6 “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. 7 Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. 8 For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.
9 “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10 And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me,[b] that they may be one as We are. 12 While I was with them in the world,[c] I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept;[d] and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.
22 The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; 23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
25 “O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me; 26 and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
For those believers out there that want to know more about righteousness, I want to ask you a question. Have you ever been in a conversation with someone who is right all the time? I mean every single time. You can never win an argument with them. They know what you’re going to say before you say it. Imagine if your parents are that way. They are right every single time. If someone is right all the time then there are times when you will be wrong. You cannot say that, “I am never wrong” in front of them because they know that they are right. God is right all the time. He is the Righteous Father. We are supposed to seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness. So there has to come to be a point where we admit that we are wrong, or that what we did is wrong. That doesn’t change who we are. We are still God’s children, but we have to admit that whatever we are thinking, or doing is wrong. We must be careful not to grieve the Holy Spirit.
Some people believe that once you accept Jesus then you can still be the same. Imagine a scenario of a rich loving King who finds a poor homeless uneducated woman (much like My Fair Lady and Eliza DoLittle) who is depressed dejected, impoverished, and nothing to her and she is involved in all kinds of licentious or sinful living, and then he takes her and shows her his wealth and showers her with love and affection, and she loves him with all her heart, then once they are married she cannot go on living like a beggar, she has to take on the role of a queen. She has to put down her old ways and become a new person. She has to make an effort to change. His love will nurture her into health and teach her the way she should go, but there is a process from becoming a beggar to becoming a queen. It is not just her clothes that have to change, but it is her language, it is her character and a transforming work on the inside from leaving the past behind and taking on her new identity as the queen. It is not an overnight thing, it is a process. Queen Esther had to go through 12 months of purification treatments so that she could win favor with the king. If she really loves him, and not his riches or his wealth and everything that he has given her, she will make every effort to change because she loves him and wants to be with him.
The same way God is jealous for his bride. He wants to see her enter into beauty and perfection. Yes she has already inherited the throne, and that is hers, but she cannot continue to live the way she did before. She cannot be spiteful and mean and catty. She has to be kind, generous, loving, and pour out her heart to the people. She has to give of herself, and she has to love with her heart.
The Word of God is Truth to every one that finds it and the Word of God is exalted above his name. Whoever believes in the Word of God, and actually takes time to meditate on it, they will be prepared when the bridegroom comes. There are many ways of looking at the Bible and the Word of God, but when you take a look at it don’t just get stuck in one a color lense. God is technicolor and just like God gave Joseph a coat with many colors, He can give you a lense of perspective into His Word with many colors, so that you can see who He is. Once you have truly began to see with clear eyes this Word of God, then your life will begin to change. Try one time to read through the whole Bible to read through the eyes of Justice. I am still trying to do that myself, but every time I turn to the Word, I see something I’ve never seen before. We must never become familiar with the Word. Also there is a point in time where we have to dig our own wells and actually take the time to read and study the Word.
I pray that You give us more insight into the Word, and let Your Word become the light upon our feet from Genesis to Revelation let it bring insight into the Truth of who You are and let us have revelation of You that will really change and transform our lives so that we can become like you being whole and complete and conform to Your will and purpose for our lives. Thank You Lord God that You do hear and listen to our prayers. Thank You for Your manifest wisdom upon this Bride of Christ and the Church. I seal this post with the Blood of Jesus and let what glorifies You be seen and let it transform hearts, break burdens, and show people the love that You have for them, so that they may know You and all of Your wisdom, because Your Word is Truth. I pray for all Your precious saints, that not only know they are saints, but they become holy like You are holy too.
In Jesus Mighty Name I pray,
This is a sermon that is an audio file – .mp3, and it talks about the three aspects of sanctification. For those interested in listening to the sermon click on the link above. There is a mystery story in the beginning, which is revealed in the end. I pray that we all learn more about this process of sanctification, and not only just learn, but to be able to apply and use. Approximately 37 minutes.
In 1 Chronicles 21 it says,
1 Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel. 2 So David said to Joab and to the leaders of the people, “Go, number Israel from Beersheba to Dan, and bring the number of them to me that I may know it.”
3 And Joab answered, “May the LORD make His people a hundred times more than they are. But, my lord the king, are they not all my lord’s servants? Why then does my lord require this thing? Why should he be a cause of guilt in Israel?”
4 Nevertheless the king’s word prevailed against Joab. Therefore Joab departed and went throughout all Israel and came to Jerusalem. 5 Then Joab gave the sum of the number of the people to David. All Israel had one million one hundred thousand men who drew the sword, and Judah had four hundred and seventy thousand men who drew the sword. 6 But he did not count Levi and Benjamin among them, for the king’s word was abominable to Joab.
7 And God was displeased with this thing; therefore He struck Israel. 8 So David said to God, “I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing; but now, I pray, take away the iniquity of Your servant, for I have done very foolishly.”
I went through the same exact temptation at the beginning of the year when WordPress came out with it’s summary of statistics of what the blog was doing in the year 2011. It was good to look at for your information, but when you begin to have pride, that this is what I have done, then there is a very humbling experience. I went as far as taking the “Where are you from” section and calculating based on site views who visited from where and looking to see what were the most popular blog entries. I guess I am not alone in looking at this presentation link, and my statement is not to condemn anyone, but I started to feel really bad after I realize what I had done. I had gotten to the point where I was wrestling with God, that is this really a sin, do I still need to confess it? After all, God gave me this blog, and I have chosen to use it for Him, then the glory goes to Him. There is one thing to confess it before God, but after looking at the video Are You too strong for God, I realized that this was something I needed to confess publicly. There is something to be said for being transparent, where you don’t go hiding in corners and hoping that nobody sees what you do behind closed doors. You may be embarrassed, and people may ridicule and persecute you, but it is something that needs to be done. It is called laying it all on the altar. So that people know the real you and not some shadow or mask that you are hiding behind as far as the sin in your life. It also takes listening to God to and knowing what is the right thing to do. I may think that the numbering the people didn’t hurt anybody, but if I want to walk in complete health then I have to take this verse into consideration,
12 “When you take the census of the children of Israel for their number, then every man shall give a ransom for himself to the LORD, when you number them, that there may be no plague among them when you number them. Exodus 30:12
Thank God for Psalm 91, and verses like “a thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand by your right hand, but it shall not come near you.”
