One Year Anniversary of blog!!!! Praise God!!

This is to all the people that have been with me and following my blog throughout the year, and I am thankful for your encouragement and support and knowing that life has its twists and turns and knowing that there is a purpose to this blog, that is beyond my comprehension, and as I follow the Holy Spirit and His promptings, and even when I fail I am thankful to all the people who follow and I appreciate your encouragement and support.  The Body of Christ bloggers is a community of believers that fulfills the requirements of being ligaments and sinews building up the Church, where the Church lacks.  It crosses denominational and cultural bounds, but what it lacks in tangible human connections it makes up for in heart, so I am thankful for you guys that have been with me throughout this journey.

I want to make a special mention to dedicated blog followers and/or supporters –

Saved by Grace

And all the other ones who have been there with me, we are all one Body of Christ, and we are all there to help each other out and you are not forgotten in your efforts, but for the sake of time and lack of being able to find the names, which have been there to help me on a regular basis I have limited to just a few.  I know there are many many people that have come across my way, which I am truly thankful and encouraged to know that I have been a blessing and changed lives.

Good News, even if you don’t have the ability to read the Bible, the Holy Spirit, will bring into remembrance, the things, which you need to know and share and post of the Bible, even if He has to keep you up until 1 AM to share it!!!:):):)

100th Post – Milestone of finding Your way in the world

This marks the 100th post of this blog – and I wanted to commemorate this to give God the glory for all the words of inspiration He gave me through the Holy Spirit, and through good times, bad times, times of trouble, trial, and temptation for Him always being there with me.  I would like to thank the supporters and followers of this blog for always being there to encourage and support and to be like ligaments in the Body of Christ, trying to keep the Body of Christ together without separation of denomination and bringing the focus of the Body of Christ being with Christ as the actual head of the Church.

For all the people that don’t know Christ yet, I hope this blog has encouraged you in some way and brought you out of despair, and brought you joy.  I aim to let God use me to reach out to you guys in particular because it is my heart’s cry that no one should perish and that all should come to know Christ because He is the only God and He can change your life even when others may not see it.

Do not be afraid for Christ has overcome the world!

Parable that “Blog-evangelism” feels like

In Mark 4:26-32, Jesus says a remarkable Parable that really spoke to me today.

And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how.  For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head.  But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

There’s something unique about blogging and the internet that appeals to me in way of relation to this Scripture.  We put our blog posts up and we don’t know how and somehow we get hits and people look at our blogs, and we don’t really know how many lives we’ve touched and how many people we have affected.  Our site stats may have a certain number of views, but we don’t know how many people’s lives have been changed by our blogs.  God reaches out through us as vessels through a dark and pained world to give out this light some of which have never known.  When we first started out we may not have that many people reading, but as time goes on we have more people reading, and whatever seed that we spread “the earth crops by itself”.  In essence we don’t really have to do anything.  We don’t have to do any forceful coaxing, or push anything down anyone’s throats.  It “crops by itself”.  Then the beautiful thing is that when the time is right we have people come running to us asking us how can they be saved. (That hasn’t happened to me yet, but I am hoping one day.)

Jesus continues – “It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; But when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all the herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.”

We bloggers are similar to the mustard seeds, most of us are people that don’t have a famous worldwide ministry, we don’t travel from country to country all over the world for the rest of our lives, and most of us are not like Mother Theresa giving food to the poor, but we in essence don’t seemed to get noticed much [except for maybe The Most Versatile Blogger Award ;)], but if we keep it long enough, and technology willing, the Word says that seeds like us, grow up, and become “greater than all the herbs, and shoot out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under [our shade]”.

There is something to be said for having humble beginnings.  For not striving to be well known, but just to have a way to reach out to the world, when you wonder, “Is God really using me to change anyone’s life?  or  is this all in vain?”  But we mustard seeds should keep on writing, and tagging, because we don’t know how many people’s lives we have affected, we don’t know how many smiles we have put on people’s faces, how many people have been encouraged because of what we write.  I don’t know if anyone else feels this way.  But when I created this blog I could have used a different name, but I was coming from a place of loss, but I knew I was going to glorify Jesus.  I was going to use this blog for my personal stuff, but the more I grew in the Lord, I realized that He had a different purpose for me.  I also realized how effective this venue for blogging was and I realized that this was a way I could have a chance to change people’s lives.  I am not a well known person, and in essence somewhat like a mustard seed, but I am hoping that God will expand the usage of me to where I can be a vessel that is “greater than all the herbs” and that He will shoot out large branches through me, so that the “birds of the air” may rest under whatever shade that God leads me to put forth.

I am not blogging for me, I am blogging for the Lord, and to sow seeds into the kingdom of God.  I don’t know how many people’s lives I have truly touched, and I have my own dreams and aspirations, but I am hoping that somehow someway lost souls can be affected by what I am doing.

WordPress the many implications

I was just thinking about this yesterday…isn’t interesting that God uses things like WordPress to spread out His Word.

In the book of John it talks about the Word of God –

1IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word ([a]Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God [b]Himself.(A)

[Amplified]

There is two types of Word when that we get when we associate with the Lord.  We have the logos word, which is the Scriptures and there is the rhema word, which is the Word that God reveals to us.  Well, I believe that it is no coincidence that the Lord has me using WordPress to blog.

But there is the other part of the term, “WORDPRESS”, that is the word “Press”.  I looked at the definitions of the word, “Press” and it’ many definitions.

Press definitions –

“Squeeze (someone’s arm or hand) as a sign of affection” –

I definitely believe that WordPress can be used to show signs of affection to other members of the Body of Christ by building them up and edifying them.

“Move in a specified direction by pushing”- this definition was used in reference to the phrase “pressing forward” – so we can definitely use WordPress to encourage others to Press forward.

“(of an enemy or opponent) Attack persistently and fiercely” – this one I like – we can definitely attack satan persistantly and fiercely by using tools like WordPress to preach the gospel.

“Continue in one’s action”- This was used in the term to “press on” as related to work.  But whatever actions we are doing for God that show the fruit of the Holy Spirit and that help us grow, we can “press on” in those matters

Extract (juice or oil) by crushing or squeezing fruit, vegetables, etc.  – This has very interesting implications – the extraction of oil (Anointing Oil/Oil in Lampstand/The Holy Spirit).  We can use WordPress to express our anointing through writing and therefore extracting the Oil out of us.

“Insist that (someone) accept an offer or gift”- I think I used this once to insist that someone accept the Lord as the Savior.  “Insist” if I’m not mistaken can also mean to urge.

Then finally, I found it’s original purpose in using the term – “A printing press”.

Biblical implications:

Paul uses the word “press” in a positive light –

Phillipians 3:12;14

12Not that I have now attained [this ideal], or have already been made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my own, that for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of me and made me His own.

14I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.

The rest of the Bible uses press in terms of pressure and as a hard difficult and crushing experience. When a piece of sand goes through pressure inside an oyster it turns into a pearl.

Also they talk about the juice press in the Old Testament.  I think in Hebrew and Greek they must have used other meanings, but it translated to another word in English.  But isn’t fascinating that the Author and Creator of the world and all it’s languages can show us such hidden depth to even the words we use and speak?

FYI:  I don’t consider it a coincidence that I got more responses by using WordPress than by using any other blogging tool I subscribe to.

I hope this was a blessing to you and I encourage you to “Press on” with your WordPress!!!

Learning about blogging/html

This is basically a test blog to see if I can actually write a blog in paragraph form and have it show up in paragraph form.  For my last posting it showed up as <div> in the Path instead of <p>.  Due to my limited training in html at w3schools I learned about html, and then I just googled the rest to show the desired result.

My problem was that I tried to paste the link in the editor instead of using the link feature because I wasn’t sure exactly how to use it so any advice on that subject would be greatly appreciated.

So far the Path is still p and that is good.

So now I am going to try to insert a Bible verse in here.

now it is h4; Genesis 1

1IN THE beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth.  back to p

Next I am going to try to insert a link in here and see what it does.

http://www.google.com/ path p and double arrows to a

Now I am going to try to quote and copy text from another site

path p strong HTML, which stands for HyperText Markup Language, is the predominant markup language for web pages. HTML is the basic building-blocks of webpages. path p [taken from wikipedia]

So now all seems well and good and the next step is to Publish and see if that makes any changes.

After first publish – everything looks good now it’s time to update and add Post tags and this is the last line you all will see.
