God desires to heal you part 1

I posted a message on one of my blogs called “Trials, Troubles, Sickness, Pain, means that God knows you have the character to make through, but I was wrong on a few points…unless you have been in a pressure cooker you don’t know what it’s like then you shouldn’t go around presumptously and saying all these things are good and are part of God’s plan for you because God’s plan for you is not to harm you but to prosper you and to give you a future and a hope. And it is like that Lynda Randle song where she says “Life is easy when you’re on the mountain where you’ve got faith like you’ve never known, but things change when you’re down in the valley, don’t lose faith because you are never alone.”  It is definitely not God’s will for you to be sick at all, and He does not want you to be in pain, or to have trials, or to have trouble, or to have sickness, that is not from God and it is from the enemy.  But God uses it to bring you closer to Him, especially if you have gone astray, like a wild sheep, so that you can become so close to Him, that you are closer to Him than all the other sheep, which have legs of their own.  No one likes being in a pressure cooker.  I ask you all to forgive me for any discomfort or distress or lack of hope that I may have provoked through my blog posting that was not my attention.

Heavenly Father,

I pray for all the people that are sick, hurting, in, pain, and in trouble, Lord God, and I am asking that You pour out Your mighty hand upon them, and let them realize that it is not You that is making them sick, but it is a plan that does not come from You. I am asking that You reveal to them You as their Healer and I pray for deliverance from all facets of troubles, pain, sickness, and disease, and free them right now from any affliction because Your Word says, “This affliction will not come upon me a second time.”  Let them know that You desire to heal them personally from all sickness, and pain, and to free them because You are Jehovah Rapha.  You are the God our Healer, and let Yourself be made manifest to them, until they see that victory and release from that area in life.  I pray this in Jesus Mighty Name I pray,

Amen.

When you have failed a test

This blog posting is kind of like a follow up to “When everything falls apart”, and “The Tests of Life”.  We know that when students go through tests at school.  Have you ever known you were going to have a quiz, but you didn’t have time to study for it?  You just go to sleep and hoping that everything comes by “osmosis” or something like that?  Well God tests and sometimes He chastens us too, and sometimes this test may be foretold in advance [i.e. Jesus wilderness, and the Israelite wilderness] We go through difficult things, and it is about our attitude primarily and what we do and say during these times of chastening and testing.  Sometimes we do not know what direction it is going to come, and we know that the enemy goes around like a roaring lion seeing who he can devour, but we also know God has His plan, which is different for testing.

Women, not intended to stereotype, in general tend to be more emotional and they tend to cry more and be more expressive in their emotions.  Sometimes we find women yelling, and getting angry too, but as believers it is hard to control these emotions without surrendering to the Holy Spirit.  But whether you are a woman or a man, you do get tested by the Lord, and even through the best of intentions you try to obtain a peaceful attitude through the Holy Spirit, but it is the times when you are spiritually undernourished that you go through certain things and you cannot seem to find your way out of the wilderness experience that you are in.  One thing to understand is that God is through His Holy Spirit giving you a slight nudge in what to do in the beginning, and if you don’t listen to that nudge, which is like Question No. 1, and then He gives you another nudge, but this time this one may be a little bit softer than the other nudge.  That is like Question No. 2.  Then by now if the principle of chastening, and disciplining has come into picture, there will you will start receiving a wrong answer mark or an “X” by your “Questions”, and that begins the consequences of sin.  The good thing about the “X” is that if you realize it soon enough you get it erased, and just for another opportunity to do the same question again.  But if you you continue to answer questions wrongly, then the “X”‘s get more and depending on how much you have prepared for the test, and how much you ask the Teacher to help you, you yourself will get up getting upset and failing.  The Good News is that you always have a do over, but you have to ask the Teacher to help you study and you have to ask for tutoring and to go in for “Office Hours”.  The Good News is that the Office Hours are 24/7.  This Teacher is Jesus and through the Holy Spirit He teaches you, but it will have to be at a time, when He is not grieved by you getting upset with Him for the difficult test.

The problem is that most times we don’t depend on the Teacher alone, but we depend on other people, and trying to please them, we try to please other people.   If Job actually listened to the advice of His friends, would He have been actually able to hear from God?  Maybe, because the Word does say, “God works out all things for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.” But this was a test.  For Job, it was unexpected, but for some people, God may tell you, “Be watchful, lest you enter into temptation”, and if you don’t listen you are going to end up in trouble.

Part of the problem, is that we don’t have the wisdom our own to figure out the problem, so that’s why we are supposed to go to God, and you may just want someone to pray for you, and they go about giving their advice and telling you how to solve the problem.  Sometimes there are times where people have been thrown everything, which comes there way, and they think as Christians, “I should have been able to handle this better”, and that’s where pride comes in.  Because it is not us, but Christ who lives in us that equips us to handle problems, and because when we don’t listen to the small nudgings, we get overwhelmed, over stressed, and overburdened by our problems.

Hebrews 12, my favorite Chapter says –

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:

“My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;
For whom the Lord loves He chastens,
And scourges every son whom He receives.”

If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that wemay be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

12 Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.

So basically what it says here is that you have to endure the chastening, and some places says rejoice, because you are not illegitimate, and you are sons.  So basically when you have a pop-quiz/test like this, and you fail, realize that it’s ok because even though you will have to go through test again, you are building up your relationship with the Holy Spirit to the level of intimacy because in truth, we all fall down, and especially when you are pursuing the path of Holiness, there may be so many things that come against you, but if you trust in God, then there will be a peacable fruit of righteousness and to forgive yourself and to accept His grace, which calls us unto redemption.  We are not guided by our feelings, and we may have bad days, and areas of struggle, and areas of weakness, but God is equipping us, the one’s whom He loves to be a bride ready to be established for His Kingdom.

If you need to repent for failing a test here is a prayer for you:

Heavenly Father,

Please forgive me, I’ve run a muck today, and not listened to Your voice, and obeyed Your commands.  I acted impatiently, hastily, and not out of love, but I really need You to forgive me, and cleanse my heart with Your Blood and to give me a clean heart and a new heart and to pick up the pieces, dust them off, and continue to spin that Potter’s wheel.  I thank You that You are still with me, and that You are teaching me and training me to be a glorious vessel for Your Kingdom, and I abide in Your Truth and wisdom, to know that You are guiding my path.  Help me to be able to discern Your voice more clearly from now on, and to make wise decisions to pass the tests and to surrender my emotions to you, so that I can have the complete wholeness of Body, Mind, Spirit, that you have promised in Your Word.  Thank You Heavenly Father.

In Jesus Mighty Name I pray,

Amen.

God is faithful to answer the prayers whatever they may be, if you continue to wait on Him.  He will always be with you.

Prayer for people with heart problems

Heavenly Father,

I pray for all the people that are plagued by sickness and disease.  Please remove the sickness from them and apply the blood of Jesus over their lives so that they may be healed and made whole.  Your word promises that we are healed by the stripes of Jesus.  For those suffering heart problems, let your miracle working power be in their lives and transform the damage that has been done and let them be free from any harmful medications LORD GOD.  Reach out Your merciful peaceful gentle kind hands and show pity and touch them and make them whole.  Let them know that they are not alone, and even though everything may be coming against them let them know that You have not forgotten them, and that they are on Your mind and heart even though everything in the world is getting ready for You to come.  Teach people the right way to eat and exercise and what nutrition that they need to receive, and allow them to learn how to take care of the temple, and do not chasten them quickly for disobedience in regards to eating.  Be gracious Lord and merciful, and show Your everlasting favor upon the people.  Clear their arteries and remove any inflammation in their bodies.  Give them their heart’s desire because Your Word says that those that delight in the Lord, will get the desires of their heart.

Thank You Lord for Your Awesome Mighty Miracle working hand!!!

In Jesus Mighty Name I pray,

Amen.

Being provoked to number the people

In 1 Chronicles 21 it says,

1 Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel. 2 So David said to Joab and to the leaders of the people, “Go, number Israel from Beersheba to Dan, and bring the number of them to me that I may know it.
3 And Joab answered, “May the LORD make His people a hundred times more than they are. But, my lord the king, are they not all my lord’s servants? Why then does my lord require this thing? Why should he be a cause of guilt in Israel?”
4 Nevertheless the king’s word prevailed against Joab. Therefore Joab departed and went throughout all Israel and came to Jerusalem. 5 Then Joab gave the sum of the number of the people to David. All Israel had one million one hundred thousand men who drew the sword, and Judah had four hundred and seventy thousand men who drew the sword. 6 But he did not count Levi and Benjamin among them, for the king’s word was abominable to Joab.
7 And God was displeased with this thing; therefore He struck Israel. 8 So David said to God, “I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing; but now, I pray, take away the iniquity of Your servant, for I have done very foolishly.”

I went through the same exact temptation at the beginning of the year when WordPress came out with it’s summary of statistics of what the blog was doing in the year 2011.  It was good to look at for your information, but when you begin to have pride, that this is what I have done, then there is a very humbling experience.  I went as far as taking the “Where are you from” section and calculating based on site views who visited from where and looking to see what were the most popular blog entries.  I guess I am not alone in looking at this presentation link, and my statement is not to condemn anyone, but I started to feel really bad after I realize what I had done.  I had gotten to the point where I was wrestling with God, that is this really a sin, do I still need to confess it? After all, God gave me this blog, and I have chosen to use it for Him, then the glory goes to Him.    There is one thing to confess it before God, but after looking at the video Are You too strong for God, I realized that this was something I needed to confess publicly.  There is something to be said for being transparent, where you don’t go hiding in corners and hoping that nobody sees what you do behind closed doors.  You may be embarrassed, and people may ridicule and persecute you, but it is something that needs to be done. It is called laying it all on the altar.  So that people know the real you and not some shadow or mask that you are hiding behind as far as the sin in your life.  It also takes listening to God to and knowing what is the right thing to do.  I may think that the numbering the people didn’t hurt anybody, but if I want to walk in complete health then I have to take this verse into consideration,

12 “When you take the census of the children of Israel for their number, then every man shall give a ransom for himself to the LORD, when you number them, that there may be no plague among them when you number them. Exodus 30:12

Thank God for Psalm 91, and verses like “a thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand by your right hand, but it shall not come near you.”

When rejection and strife has taken root

There are times in our lives when people whether intentionally or unintentionally have done something to offend or abuse us and we don’t know how to get rid of that pain.  Many times that pain manifests into physical sicknesses, and leads to things like heart problems, and just makes the condition of our bodies even worse.  One of the most profound Scriptures in the Word of God, is when Peter asks Jesus, “How many times should we forgive someone? Seven times?” Jesus says that we are supposed to forgive someone “seventy times seven” or 490 times.  That doesn’t mean that if they have done something to us 490 times, that we just stop forgiving them.

Sometimes it takes getting out of our own soul and flesh to kind of get a different angle of looking at something.  We must examine the facts and determine is this really what the other person did to me, or did I just perceive it that way.  The problem is instead of Christ being the center of our own lives, we have become the center of our own lives so when someone hurts we don’t see what we have contributed to that situation either in our own thought life, attitudes of our heart, or even how our own mind perceived a painful situation.

Granted that no one has the right to abuse you over and over again, but sometimes like Jesus said we have to, “Forgive them, they know not what they do.”  Many offenses happen between believers and these are the most dangerous kinds because we are in essence one body and when we hurt one another it’s like hitting ourselves over the head with a heavy book trying to give ourselves a concussion.

I used to when I was younger and hurt and when I felt unloved at one time, hit myself on the head with a book that was about a thousand pages hard cover because I just didn’t like myself and I didn’t think that anyone could sympathize.  God doesn’t want us hurting ourselves.  When you get a cut, you put ointment on it and a bandaid and let it heal, but many people sit there and let the wound get infected by not getting it treat properly.

Some of these wounds are bigger than a bandaid to heal, some of these wounds are so big, that it takes the mighty awesome power of the Holy Spirit to come it and clean it out.  One thing that we have to realize is that no one is perfect – NOBODY except for Jesus and God doesn’t expect us to be perfect.  One of the problems is when we do something to grieve the Holy Spirit, then we feel it deep with in our soul and then it gets manifested to our bodies.  Once it’s in our bodies it’s hard to get out.  You may have that sour feeling in your stomach and if it festers it can lead to an ulcer and if you don’t learn to let things go and forgive and lay aside the burden and the pain, but not in your own power, but in the power that the Lord has in his ever so abundant grace and make peace with Holy Spirit.

The greater you hurt, they greater your destiny.  The greater you suffer, the greater your destiny.  The problem is that that satan is scared of what you could possibly do so he wants to make you fear and doubt and worry and panic, be bitter, resentful, depression, discouraged, in rejection and in strife.

Some people don’t talk about their problems to the person that hurt them continually.  Some people just let it fester silently while they are sweet to them, trying to earn brownie points with them and God, but on the inside they are saying, “You really hurt me.”  “Why did God allow this to happen to me?”  They seethe on the inside and never confront the situation and are tormented on the inside and they are around people which the confide in who just make matters worse.  They gossip about these people because they are hurt and insecure on the inside and sometimes after someone has hurt them so many times, and the other person may not even be aware of what or how they did it, something inside them breaks, and they put up a wall of self-protection saying, “I will never let anyone hurt me anymore.  I will never let anyone get close to me anymore.”  They hold on to the hurt and they let it fester.  Nothing is more unpleasant than a festering wound.

When I was in the hospital I got a bed sore.  It didn’t hurt at first.  It kind of itched, but then it became a wound.  The doctors had to go and clean out the wound and the pus in the wound and it took months for it to heal.  It took daily treatment to heal and it had a scar.  It is similar to when Jacob wrestled with God, and God bruised his hip, and made him limp as a reminder of the experience.  We have to let the Holy Spirit apply treatment to the wound, and allow Him to help.  He wants to help us, but sometimes the wound has become so deep that it has actually become a tree of rejection.

Dr.  Caroline Leaf says in her book, “Who switched off my brain?”, that when people have negative thoughts and experiences it leads to toxic emotions and they have to replace that tree in the brain with another tree of life, which starts with forgiveness.  When we have this toxic emotions they make us sick and we cannot hold on to them.  We have to learn to let them go or they are forever seared into our subconscious, and they take root in our hearts and bodies.  Sometimes when we have these roots we feel sick to our stomach, or feel dread, and it is just like poison eating us up inside.

I can’t say that I have gotten to that point yet in my life where there aren’t any roots of rejection and strife in my life, but one thing I am learning is that you have to not judge others unless you be judged.  Sometimes we are so afraid of eternal judgment because we are judgmental ourselves.  If we have grace in our hearts, the grace of Christ, then we have nothing to fear in the day of judgment, because the Word says, “perfect love casts out fear”  so that we may have boldness in the day of judgement.  The main issue is love.  Love is what repentance is what love is all about.  When we love people and have high expectations of people and they hurt us, then that puts a sear in our hearts and we are afraid to love again.  We are afraid to be wounded again.  We don’t want to venture out and show unconditional love to someone just to have our hearts trampled on over again.  We want to be unbreakable and strong, but God doesn’t use the strong vessels, He uses the weak and foolish things of this world to confound the strong and the wise.  He uses the rejected people and the outcasts and He takes them under His wings and He covers them with His loving arm because He is El Shaddai, ever nurturing One.  Sometimes it takes coming to that place and saying, “I don’t understand what’s going on, and why I am in this mess, but I trust You God.”  Sometimes it may be that God is testing us just like He tested Job saying to satan, “There is no one like my servant Job, who is faithful.”  Sometimes we listen to people around us and they get us all messed up just like it did for Job and instead of going to God and just really being who we are when we are with Him, and stop trying to pretend to be holy and righteous and just saying, “I am a sinner and I know I might be wrong in what I am thinking, please help and change me.”

There are times when nothing works to change your circumstances, and you have been praising God all day and nothing seems to “work” that’s when you have come to know that God says, “Not right now,”  and you just have to wait on his timing.  One of the best things we can do in life is forgive others and receive forgiveness.  That it is the true spirit of Christmas because forgive means – for give.
